The case
The Grand Arosa Pop-Up Hotel was created as a bold hospitality experiment: transforming a vacant resort hotel in Arosa into a temporary alpine destination where nostalgia, playful design and digital-first hospitality came together.
The concept set out to offer guests something different from a traditional ski hotel: pastel interiors, theatrical spaces, self-check-in and a stay experience that felt closer to a story than a standard overnight stay.
That’s why hostz managed the operational setup behind the concept, supporting a fully self-service guest journey with digital check-in, an AI-powered concierge and modular services bookable directly by smartphone.
Once open, The Grand Arosa became a flexible, experience-driven pop-up hotel with ski-lift access nearby, family-friendly amenities, work and recreation spaces, and a distinctive identity that attracted international attention.
